Catch Up on CLEs: File Retention and Ethics

by Sara Crocker on November 11, 2011

As a solo or small firm practitioner, you’re probably your own assistant, which means you have filing duties, too.

A new file retention rule (CRCP 1.16A) was approved by the Colorado Supreme Court in February. You can learn about the new rule, your general duties at termination of the attorney-client relationship, the need to have a transition plan, and the inventory counsel process on Monday, Nov. 14 at CBA-CLE‘s latest installment of its series Small Firms, Big Success: A Business-focused Series for Client-focused Lawyers.

The program will be led by Charles “Chip” Mortimer, Assistant Regulation Counsel with the Colorado Supreme Court Attorney Regulation Counsel, and you pick up one ethics credit.
